PNW Watercolor Themes - In-Person
Tuesdays 9:30 - 12:30 in-person
Paint a menagerie of watercolor Pacific Northwest and Seattle themes with teaching artist Willow Heath. A ferry boat on the Puget Sound, a Space Needle sunset, evergreen trees, orcas, a Mount Rainier landscape, Pike Place in the rain, or perhaps a coffee shop scene. You’ll explore local Seattle themes as voted on by the class while building your own artistic voice and portfolio. Learn from in-person demonstrations and feedback in a relaxed art studio setting.

LIGHT IN WATERCOLOR- ONLINE
Wednesday | 9:30-12:30
Join artist Willow Heath for this special autumn edition of painting light. Create a series of realism based watercolor vignettes of reflective surfaces such as candy apples, pumpkins, bugs, water, glass, metal, and gemstones. Fine tune your watercolor techniques, and sharpen your color mixing and glazing skills while imbuing your art with light, dimension, & warmth.

A beginning watercolor course for teens and adults wanting a weekly practice. This course will focus on autumn nature themes such as, fall leaves, mushrooms, landscapes, and maybe an animal or two.

EXPRESSIVE WATERCOLOR PORTRAITS
Thursdays 9:30am - 12:30 - 3 week mini course, starting in December.
Demystify the portrait painting process and imbue your portraits with color and expression. Each week, a different theme will be covered, such as expressions, painting hair, use of color, and more. You'll have the opportunity to watch live demonstrations, receive feedback, and engage in artful discussions. WORKSHOPS
PET PORTRAITS IN WATERCOLOR
Saturday, Sept 28th, 10-2pm
Learn step by step from a live demonstration how to render your pets in watercolor. Capture your pets personality and imbue your watercolor with light and movement. Learn techniques to paint fur, fluff, and texture. All levels welcome!

FOREST WATERCOLORS @ THE ZOO
October 12th, 10am- noon
Paint a PNW inspired monochromatic misty watercolor tree scene with teaching artist Willow Heath while strengthening your understanding of value, watercolor technique, and brush control. All supplies for the class are provided.
